I've had mine for almost 2 and 1/2 years and no I wouldn't change for anything. I had an auto Acura CL-S (6 speed not offered until later). Clutch, shifter and setup is perfect.

I've got a 2004 6MT, I've always driven stick and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm up to about 20,000 miles and I've had no problems with my car and especially no problems with the transmission (I guess the transmission problems common with the 2003 are rare in the 04s)

I love the brembos too!

Hey, I am new here and looking to buy a g35 coupe, I am 23, and have only had one car in my life, the one my parents bought when I was old enough, and it was an auto. Anyway I want to get the 6mt, but don't know how to drive one, how hard was it for you to learn, and is it pretty easy.

It's easy, but it's not "pretty easy" if you're going to learn on your G. It just doesn't have the most forgiving clutch and the smoothest tranny out there to make it easy for you to learn. Ask a friend to show you and read up on the basics, don't be totally unprepared. The first week or two may seem like hell, but after that it will feel like heaven

I'd find a friend with an older car that has a manual transmission and ask if he'll take you out and teach you. That way you aren't wearing down your new clutch. You should be able to pick up driving a manual transmission fairly quickly, as long as you have the desire to learn. It's not really that hard. Just practice. You'll have it down in no time.

Traffic does get frustrating but...I wouldn't have the AT, I truly love driving and IMO the AT takes too much out of the fun out of it, especially in a car like the G!

I know of only one member who traded in his 03 6mt for an 05 5at, after driving a manual for 15 years straight ... and dozens of people who traded in a 5at for a 6mt, or an 03/04 6mt for an 05 6mt. Stop thinking about it, just GET IT already

well I just made the switch from 5at to 6mt today ... it was interesting as i have had maybe an half an hour of stick experience in my life beforehand but ... it aint rocket science ... so after 100 miles in my new ride and 59,000 in my previous 5at ... I am very happy I have made the switch and will never buy another automatic sports/GT car ever.
