Order 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT or 5AT?

6MT --- Unless you don't know how to drive a manual
In which case you should learn how to drive a manual, because even the granny living 5 doors down can drive a stick.
or you can read what Jtrain wrote and decide for yourself. Is G35 a sporty car (6MT) or is it a stylish cruiser (5AT)? Since Infiniti doesn't offer Brembos anymore, AT and MT cars look almost identical, especially if you add the aluminum pedals to the 5AT. (oh yeah~ did that for my wife's sedan since she doesn't know how to drive a manual and doesn't care to learn how)

Either tranny will have its pros and cons. Many have chosen correctly and many regretted their choice(s). You have a good chance of making the wrong choice.
Mmmmm . . . Just simply buy an AT and an MT. After 6 months sell the one, which you like the least. Crap! You'll probably sell the wrong one. You are essentially screwed.
Seriously . . . I trust you select the tranny, which best suits your needs and character. Good luck and enjoy!

I think more than a few of us take offense to that comment....
I have a manual trans. in my Mustang Cobra, so does that mean I only wear a skirt 1/2 of the the time or only have 1 nut since my G35 is a 5AT?
This is a stupid question:
If you wear a skirt, get an auto
If you have a set, get a 6-speed
If you wear a skirt, get an auto
If you have a set, get a 6-speed

If you get an AT have fun explaining to everyone why you got a slushbox for a sporty car. I don't know about you guys but everytime I see a G parked and I look inside and I see it is auto I get dissapointed for some reason. Nothing beats driving and rowing your own gears on a nice day. Anyways, it is your car so its upto you.

I drove both and I must say, 6MT is so fun. There is nothing like the feeling of shifting for yourself instead of letting the car do it. Yes, I drove a manual for almost 10 years and then wrecked my last car. Drove an auto for almost a year and am so happy to get the Manual Back. As someone mentioned, it is a sport coupe. Yes, Sport. So, get the 6MT. Personally, if I wanted the auto, I would have bought the Sedan. Well, that's just my thought. Whatever you do, don't let us decide for you. Test drive both. If you don't know how to drive a manual, learn it before you go to the dealer. After the test drive on both, I'm sure you will know
