6MT --- Unless you don't know how to drive a manual
In which case you should learn how to drive a manual, because even the granny living 5 doors down can drive a stick.
or you can read what Jtrain wrote and decide for yourself. Is G35 a sporty car (6MT) or is it a stylish cruiser (5AT)? Since Infiniti doesn't offer Brembos anymore, AT and MT cars look almost identical, especially if you add the aluminum pedals to the 5AT. (oh yeah~ did that for my wife's sedan since she doesn't know how to drive a manual and doesn't care to learn how)

I had a Integra Type R, Stick Shift for a year. It was a nightmare driving it in the city, parking, I really wish i had a automatic.
but when in Highway, I definitely want to shift, but you can't have the best of both worlds,
u might want to consider M3 SMG.

def. 6MT bro, the performance and everything just isnt there for the 5AT esp. if you're coming from a 6MT yourself. if there are any problems down the line.. its worth it.. 6mt has all the options plus a little cheaper.. dont even think it just get the 6mt

Either tranny will have its pros and cons. Many have chosen correctly and many regretted their choice(s). You have a good chance of making the wrong choice.
Mmmmm . . . Just simply buy an AT and an MT. After 6 months sell the one, which you like the least. Crap! You'll probably sell the wrong one. You are essentially screwed.
Seriously . . . I trust you select the tranny, which best suits your needs and character. Good luck and enjoy!

I have a manual trans. in my Mustang Cobra, so does that mean I only wear a skirt 1/2 of the the time or only have 1 nut since my G35 is a 5AT?

This is a stupid question:
If you wear a skirt, get an auto
If you have a set, get a 6-speed
I think more than a few of us take offense to that comment....This is a stupid question:

If you get an AT have fun explaining to everyone why you got a slushbox for a sporty car. I don't know about you guys but everytime I see a G parked and I look inside and I see it is auto I get dissapointed for some reason. Nothing beats driving and rowing your own gears on a nice day. Anyways, it is your car so its upto you.

6mt - thread solved.
(I have 35k mi on my 2004 6mt, no problems yet. Also, my michellins still have tread, odd?)

I drove both and I must say, 6MT is so fun. There is nothing like the feeling of shifting for yourself instead of letting the car do it. Yes, I drove a manual for almost 10 years and then wrecked my last car. Drove an auto for almost a year and am so happy to get the Manual Back. As someone mentioned, it is a sport coupe. Yes, Sport. So, get the 6MT. Personally, if I wanted the auto, I would have bought the Sedan. Well, that's just my thought. Whatever you do, don't let us decide for you. Test drive both. If you don't know how to drive a manual, learn it before you go to the dealer. After the test drive on both, I'm sure you will know

Its a matter of what YOU want. It seems that you've had an issue you weren't cool with. Sounds like your decision is made. good luck with whichever.
I think I'm decided on Liquid Platinum......Hurry up and get here!

Your the biggest ***** i have seen on this forum. the car is not a full out sports car. the thing is a luxury coupe. the only way i would ever buy a MT is if the car had well over 350HP if not there is no need for it. The AT is just as good in the cars. It has been proven way to many times that the MT does not smash the AT. Its all a drivers race. ***** Bag.Originally Posted by perfectmax
