As for your credit report, you should get those paid off loans on the reports ASAP. Get it fixed, make sure its fixed, and ask the 3 companies to give you reports saying so with your (much) higher scores. You can get the reports for free, but I think they may charge for the scores. Once you have the scores in hand, print a few copies, and leave one with your sales consultant. They can verify this score with the company if their credit service doesn't have up-to-the-minute data to get your interest rate down.
You can dispute items on your report online from Equifax, I believe. You may have to mail / fax in items to Experian and Transunion. I haven't had to fix something since 2003, so they may all three offer online "correction" services. If not, mail a letter or send a fax.
G'luck,

i'm a sales consultant at infinitiofmassapequa.com so i'll give you all the info -- you owe money on your mustang so that will go into your payments of the new vehicle. i doubt there are any '05 6mt's left in ivory pearl because i tried to locate one for a customer of mine and only 2 '06 ivory pearl 6mt's are on the east coast. get a co-signer would be the best way to build up your credit back as well as get you into the vehicle. that is the best advice i can tell you right now. i have a lot of friends in the same situation but you have to make the best out of reality

I hate to burst bubbles man, but i got my G with a 1.9% rate, $1000 down, a paid off trade-in (valued at 7000... i think), and a credit score of 740. I'm still looking at monthly of 550 for 5 years. Like da mayor said, a co-signer will help lower that rate but i dont know about getting it under 500 a month. Have you thought about leasing?

yes if you lease the payments will definitely be a lot lower than financing but the low 1.99% rates are only valid on remaining '05 stock (which i only have on coupes no sedans).
if you do look at a preowned you will have to dish out money on an extended warranty so the new car might work out better. best of luck.
