I think I just made a steal on the G35!!

After days of countless calling back and visiting different dealers.. I was able to accomplish getting a dealer to sell me a pre-owned 04 Black G35 Coupe 6MT. I just got to say.. wow.. I feel I got a good deal what do you guys think?..

Brung the price down to 25,700 with only 25k miles on the car. That's 2,000 under trade in value not retail. (the winter helped)

Sticker price was at 29,995.

I'm picking it up monday.. yes I pay 4,500 a year for insurance and I'm on step 31.. yes I make good money.. 3 years ago I've gotten 10-14 speeding tickets in one year and it was crazy.. I'd get 2 tickets on the same day sometimes and my license been suspended twice for 60 days each. I'm no longer aggressive driver but paying dearly for my past especially living in MA, insurance rake there customers thanks to poor politics.. notice when you look for quotes from Geico and Progressive 2 best insurance co's and they offer 49 states but MA...

Taking a cab for a year is probably cheaper than 4,500.

I was test driving 2 cars today between a 350Z and G35.. I'd have to say I didn't like the feel of the Z at all... I mean it's a nice car and they even tried getting it down to 22K even with 30K miles fully loaded with NAV.. but I had to go with the G because I felt the ride was way smoother and feel of the G was better personally..

Which car you think would handle better in snow?.. I don't think the Z would do well at all..

Yeah insurance sounds crazy.

I only have 1 year of driving record in the U.S. (I used to live in Vancouver, B.C.). 24 years old, single, and I pay $2400/year for my '04 BMW Z4 3.0 and G35 coupe.

Sounds like you did get a great deal! I'm paying almost as much as you for my insurance, but it's worth it imo...

Great car, great deal. Slow down or you're going to kill someone.

Congradulations on the car but, Wow, that is a lot of car insurance.

You have a great car now, slow down and "Profile" a bit.

Thanks all.. I can't wait to pick it up Monday but.... sigh.. I hate buying this in the winter.

It just snowed 2-3 inches here and still coming and I'm suppose to pick up the car tommorrow, the dealer is about 15 miles away and the car still has summer tires on them, I need to get snow tires ASAP... and I really don't feel comfortable driving the car home if I need to pick it up with snow on the ground.

Sorry to say man but thats not a good deal. You just bought a two year old car with 25k miles on it. I think you need to start riding the public transit because thats ridiculous to pay that much for insurance no matter how much money you make. Thats just not moral.
