No More Negotiating
No More Negotiating
Hi I new and looking to buy the coupe 6MT in two months. I just got off the phone with Mark from North Houston Infiniti. He told me that all Infiniti dealers are switching to a none negotiating system like Saturn. All sticker prices are fix as of Feb. 06. He said, if I want to a good price I need to do it in soon! Well, I think he is full of BS!!!

Come up to Dallas, bro. Grubbs is top-notch, but I bought mine from Crest, and they were great too. Gave me a great deal. If you want EXTRA bargaining power, go in just a couple days before the end of the month. Everyone is trying to hit quota at the end of the month, sales managers included, so you can usually get a really good deal.

Actually, I'd love to have this happen across the spectrum on cars. I was hoping the "employee pricing" stuff would stick for the US brands, but other than GM's "Red Tag" sales deals that they seem to have every other month, no one's really learned from the record revenues they posted.
I'd love to see the business case for Saturn versus the rest of GM, for example.
As for Infiniti and Nissan moving to that model, it might be a "limited engagement sales event" for the 1st quarter of 2006 to drive sales, similar to the favorable interest rates they offer. What do you think? I agree that there's a very slim chance that your sales consultant is correct.

I agree, the Red Tag or Employee Pricing is doing nothing but hurt the industry. They are closing plants and laying off alot of people because they are NOT making money. I know alot of car dealers and the only thing this "EP" pricing and Red Tag thing is doing is killing the market. G35club has it right, they could stand to learn from Toyota and other imports. Who of which are killing the domestic market right now. To answer your question though your sales consultant was just trying to get you to buy now.
the only thing Infiniti is getting rid of is the lowballing pricing advertisements. everyone will put list price on the ads in the papers and that is it or else Infiniti will not give them funding for that. Suprisingly, sometimes the programs do get excellent but people take that chance and hold off -- then they get mad when the rates go back up. dartmouth knows that i am here to help as much as i can...
