Looking to buy rims for my snow tires - 17inch..

they don't make steelies in 17 correct?

I'm just looking for something cheap, any suggestions?

Thanks.

IIRC... non Brembos?

There's a few alloy wheel choices around for less the $200/ea
Check out places like Steelcase Tire... they're familliar with Infiniti fitments

- anyone remember if Jerry is still running a deal?

My neighbour got 17" steelies for his sedan for his snows. So I do know they are out there. He bought his at a OK Tire store.

Steelies definitely come in 17's.
Last year about this time my Infiniti dealer had a winter tire truckload sale on Toyo Garit HT's (H rated).
They had them on steels for $1,250 a set and alloys for about $1,550, mounted and balanced.

I went down to 16" steelies as I don't have brembos. No use going for 17" for me as the steel rims are cheaper and the tires too.

If you just need rims perhaps check out Cheap Thrills in Milton. Although I am not sure if they are still open as they usually close after the winter rush but check them out here http://www.cheapthrillswheelsandtires.com/. The last time I went there (2 years ago) I needed winters for my Altima, they did a great job finding steel rims that fit the car.

When I was purchasing my winters for my tires, I really debated the idea of getting steels for my G, but at that time 17' steels were very difficult to locate so I started to shop around for aluminium rims. So I ended up getting my rims and tires from Jerry (aka ZoomZoom??). I got BSA 17' rims with Dunlop Sport M3s, good tires and the rims looked a little nicer, agressive and sharper than my OEM 18'. After working out the dollar figures it was only $125 difference between steels and aluminiums and well worth it considering the black steel rims look damn FUGLY on a sport sedan/coupe as the G!!

Good feedback. About 6 years ago we checked on steelies for our Acura TL and ended up with nice alloys for less than the plain steel wheels without covers.

I just put 16" silver steelies and GT snows on for $600. I'm going to paint them black though....I don't like the silver.
