Godmans I read on another board a while back that you could purchase Optima batteries at Costco.

Thanks Wayne =)

I heard that they only sell Blue top Optima (while I am looking to buy a yellow-top one); anyhow, I would try to find some people who has a Costco membership to look for me...

Costco does have Optima batteries. I don't know if they have all the models but definitely the red. That's the one I remember anyway. There are a lot of online places to get them as well as local.

If you find the PC680 in town, let me know. I'm looking for one too.

Costco does sell Optima but had a very limited inventory about 18 months ago when I was last there. I'm doubtful they have what you describe.

I mentioned that Costco Godmans cause I know some of the guys on the TMEC board picked up Yellow Tops there a while ago.

AHHH
which Costco!? (not that it matters unless if you are talking about GTA ones...)

but instead of trying to look into more Costco branches in GTA, I have seen some nice feedback with the Braille light weight battery on my350z.com; anyone has any experience/thought with those?

I think I will order one if I really can't find any D51R or Odyssey PC680 locally in GTA.

P.S. Can someone please confirm that a G35/350z use the same mounting hardware/kit since the Braille mounting kit has worked for the 350z owners... but I haven't heard of any G35s using that

^sorry Manbir that was in Halifax but I can't believe we would have something here you wouldn't in TO.

Highly likely the 350 would use the same mounting hardware IMHO.

Those Braille batteries sound good. Love the idea of light weight (15lbs is very light for the power they deliver).

It gives the dimensions of the Braille battery on their site, so look at the tie-down on your car to estimate if they'd work, or if you'd need their optional universal tie down kit.

Warranty is decent: giving free replacement in the first year, then pro-rated in the second.

Price is good, and free delivery to your door right now.

Only thing I don't know is how good they are, and I have heard no testimonials from anyone.

Probably worth a try.

Colin.

OOOOOps, just noticed that the free shipping is only in US.

In an earlier Groupbuy from my350z.com, the deal included an aluminium tie-down/mounting kit; so I think if the mounting kit is built for the 350z, it will also fit the G35?

I believe I will give this a try if I can't find an optima yellow-top/Odyssey locally.
