U sure its 70 litres? I usually fill up when my light comes on and top out at ~58 litres @ ~$70 w/ 460-490km on a tank

6 of my friends have BMWs (330x2, 335x2, M3) all get 600+ on tank
1 has a 545 and he gets 700km easily WTF on a v8

usually ~500kms in the city, averaged year-round. this is usually when the light comes on, and then i fill up. my fills are usually ~65L, on a 76L tank.

on the highway i get much better mileage, up to 750kms before the light comes on.

hmm, are you sure their tank sizes are 60L? ... The 335 is very efficient for the power output it provides but most BMWs have a larger tank so the fillup will cost more....

My V8 on a full tank states 650KM but with moderate driving, I'm averaging around 550KM ... however my my fillup is a lot more...

2 things you gotta look at....

amount of litres for the Tank and litres/100km ...

THE M3 is one of the worst I heard... how can that possible get better mileage than your G?

on another note, different cars activate the FUEL light at different tank levels... BMWs usually light up around 100KM reserve... depending on what the trip computer calculates your range as... I noticed my Acura lights up when the needle is nearly hitting E.. and i can still drive another 80KM... I haven't had a chance to test the G as much since I usually keep it filled up....

p.s: isn't it bad to keep the tank near empty since it draws in dirt from the bottom of the tank? i know it has filters and such but just curious...

^^^

For our cars, I beleive that the Fuel light will come on when there is 10L or less in the tank

Wow, on my 2003 350z i get 9.5 L/100km in the city if im just driving normally and ive gotten as low as 8.4L/100km on the highway (that was going calgary to vancouver). the worst ive ever done is 12.8L/100km and that was driving hard and fun in the city.

I usually average around 500 - 600 km on a tank depending on ratio of hwy and city driving... and how much my right foot 'twitches'

I do about 350 to 400 km ber tank... in city... high way around 550 to 600, depending on my mood ... (meaning I normally burn some rubber here and there, therefore more burn .. more gas)

With pretty much 100% city driving I think I get around 450-500 if not a bit more. Highway is likely around 600+

I'm currently on vacation in Nova Scotia...for the last week. I've been getting close or just over 800km/tank.
I'm a little surprised at this since I've been using 91 octane for 80% of the trip.
