Help Kevin Help!!!!!!
That suks big time. Do both of you have the same adjuster? Your point about the aspect of the damages certainly suggests she is not bound by the truth. I can't see how an adjuster could buy her lame story. Get a couple of dinky cars and give the adjuster a visual

Even if the girl didn't persue the damages through the insurance company, I bet my rates would still have gone up because the police were called and a report filed. I think the police notify the insurance companies directly.
Lesson to be learned, if it's a minor accident DON'T call the police and settle it between the two of you. I'm sure it will be cheaper in the long run.
Sorry to hear that she's pulling this on you. Did you get a police report that day? Or if you had the Police Officer's name, he or she might still have the paperwork on the accident and have the stories that were said that day.

The insurance companies have got you by the ***** either way. I'ts just not fair.

I see this every day, people will tell a bald faced lie to get themselves out of trouble. It's your word against theirs and if you don't have a witness to back it up, you are both 50/50 at fault. It sucks I know but there is'nt much you can do other than have an adjuster out at that moment after the accident happened (next to impossible)
Parking lots are the worst and if you are backing up and hit someone you are always at fault. If 2 people back into each other they are botrh at fault.
I would recommend one thing to everybody, call your company and ask about "accident forgiveness protection" and whether you have it on your policy. It costs about $40/yr and it makes it so your rate does not go up on your first at-fault accident. Definately worth the 40 bucks.

Also, your rate will not go up until your next renewal and it might only be a couple of hundred bucks depending on your previous record.
