Urgent Need help! Top Secret Bumper Install!

I already posted this in the body section but I figure I post here as well.

My body shop called and said the bumper will not fit unless the remove the following.

THe toe hook, and the 4 bracket that is solder against the main bumper reinforcement bar.

Chime in please as I need to know soon.

I am 100% sure they need to remove the toe hook. but unsure about the other one.

This is an authentic bumper.

but behind the foam there were 4 extended bracket and the bottom is the toe did you modified the bumper to fit around that or chop it off.

Had a similar thing with the Nismo sedan bumper.
2 pieces of Alum square tube had to be chopped.

As long as it's not part of the structural member (main beam), you should be OK.

I told the body shop guy to cut bit of the fiberglass around the toe and shave as much as need around the other square brace. i really don't want to chop any bracket off.

i have the kuruma but i'm assuming it' similar. yes you will have to shave the fiberglass down and remove the styrofoam. i don't know if the guy cut off any brackets on mine? i still have the towhook receiver.

Thanks All

Body shop suggested to just chop the brackets off and the toe hook recevier. But in my heart I rather them cut the fiberglass and shave it to fit then do that.

I have the Kuruma bumper as well and did not have to cut anything off of the car. I removed the foam and that's about it... I use the tow hook hole for my modified Stillen license plate mount.

Hey Bro,

1) Those (outer 2) brackets don't do much..
2) They don't have to be chopped, they are riveted to the main aluminium bumper frame through 2 rivets per bracket. You just have to drill out the rivets to remove the bracket. If you want to put it back later, you just have to rivet them back in using stock holes.

I have the Karuma Z and I only had to trim off the styrofoam a bit with a saw, that's it.
