Falken 452 vs. Toyo T1R
Finally a tire thread I can answer with experience w/both tires.
The 452's are ok, they are quieter than the Toyo's and the ride is a little more sedate. They were a little mushy so the turn in was kind of wobbly. The traction is good, dry & wet but nothing to write home about. They're good for their price. I am not sure how treadware is.
The T1R's are above average in terms of loud and harshness, not in an "omg this sucks" way, but they can be loud - a little more than PS2's for example. The sidewall, despite what someone said in that other thread (?), is not large; it's rather small. The entire tire tends to run small (ex: a T1R 275 is about 5mm smaller than a PS2); the traction is above average wet & dry, so that's the tradeoff. Treadware is average, so not great.

Alright i need a new rear tire due to a nail
So I will be replacing both rears now.
The Falkens is about $264 cheaper.
Read some good and bad things about both tires.
What is surprising is that even though the Falken's are cheaper, a lot of people like them.
Major difference between is that the Falken is more comfotable to ride on and therefore a little handling is given up vs the stock Bridgestones. The T1R's are much better in handling than stock and falken's.
I just need to know if the falken will be more than sufficient for me.
This will be on a mix setup of stock up front and falken's on rear.
225/40/19 Front
245/40/19 Rear

I found one place that can. But it will take at least a week to come in.
I am really annoyed right now.

After calling a million and one tire shops, Tire World in Brampton will get them tomorrow and then installed them as well. I will be paying about $100 more or so but ah well.
Most of the other shops were quoting $100 cheaper but a wait time of AT LEAST one week.
Seeing that they have been in business for years, I think having them install it should be a no brainer, other than telling the installers that there are TPMS sensors so that they are careful with the install.

You must mean the PS1 though since that's what came as OE 18".
