Advice from Atlantic G owners

For those of you out in the east coast, I am planning on visting PEI in the last week of June. I was wondering if you could recommend some places to eat, stay and see. I will most likely be flying in June 26 and and flying out June 30th.

Thanks

Peter

Hey Peter,

I suggest you have a look at their tourism guide which can be downloaded or mailed to you, if you haven't already. Here is the link: http://www.gov.pe.ca/visitorsguide/index.php3

I've been to the Island at least 15 times now and have covered pretty well all of it at one time or another. It's hard for me to recommend any particular spots to stay or eat since I have way too many memories. Much depends on what you're looking for of course. There is lots to do from golfing to festivals, seaside beaches, Parks, lots of little museum type places and activity centers. Because of the Islands size you'll be able to see a lot in shorter periods of time.

Have a good visit.

Good advice, Deane. Altho I've been only a few times myslef, I've yet to find a place, restaurant, attraction or anything else there not to my liking.....
Simply wonderful province to visit with charming, receptive and friendly people....

PEI is a treat to visit, as is the eastcoast in general..

C.

That's great Peter, PEI is a great place to visit during the summer. Charlottetown is a really nice city with a beautiful waterfront. If you like beaches, Cavendish is a popular choice. I also like North Rustico as it's a beautiful little fishing town with some great lobster buffet restaurants. If you like golf, PEI is the loaded with top notch golf courses. The Links At Crowbush Cove and Dundarave are definitely two that I would recommend.

Thanks for all the suggestions, unfortunately my GF and I do not golf so I think we will be more into the sight seeing. Are there enough things to see and do in PEI for 4 days? if not, we were thinking of leaving the island and visiting NB and NS. Can you also recommend some things to see in these 2 provinces as well?

Peter

PEI isn't all that big, but you could easily spend 4 days there sightseeing. If you are interested in spending a day or two in NB, here is a few places that I would recommend seeing.

St. Martins - Beautiful coast community with the Fundy trail. You can see my pics here.
Kings Landing - A really nice historical settlement. Website here
Fundy National Park - A beautiful national park along the Fundy coast. Info here.
Hopewell Rocks - A really nice coastal area that has the famous flower pot rocks. Website.
St. Andrews - A beautiful old seaside resort town. Website.

That's a few places that I would recommend and they are relatively close to PEI (4 hours drive or less). I hope this helps.
