ALL THEY did was call infiniti US give them my VIN number, receive information on what date it was purchased to know when my warranty ends... and i was in the canadian database. so simple. and yet my first dealership gave me so much headache over this.
so... from my experience getting an American vehicle in to candian database is not a big deal... it all depends on how courteous and friendly the dealerships are.

Anyway, I'm glad I don't have to sweat it about the warrantee and it is largely because I have a local dealer / service manager who sees no problem in registering the car with Nissan's database. I mean they will be getting the service work and making money on it so why should they be jerks about it ?
When I first phoned the US Infiniti 1-800 number they gave me that misinformation about the car had to be registered in the US for 6 months. It took me a while to get rid of all the BS and I must say that this forum has been a great help.
Thanks you guys for your help.
I'm about a week away from taking delivery of my G35 Journey / Serengeti Sand / wheat / premium /tech / nav / wheels

Got a call from the Maine dealer and last night they fixed the DRLs. After much nagging on my behalf they simply used the fog lights in the unit and converted to the DRLs as it is in Canada. Cost $320 US. It turns out to be a relatively easy problem. Anybody having problems I'm sure could call Bill Dodge Infiniti in Maine...good guys.
G arrives finally on Sunday.
Good luck to all importing. Cheers.

I got my windows tinted at 3M Trimline in Saint John and was very happy with their work. I am not sure if Freddy has a 3M Trimline but it might be worth checking out.
Btw, have a great time in England. Are you going for vacation or business?
Well guys got the G35x this morning in Houlton. The dealer drove 4h to meet me at the border...awesome service from these guys.
The car was perfect and I am having a ball.
Total time to get paper work done at both borders - 20 mins.
Don't let any naysayers get you down. It is dead simple to do.
Best of luck to everyone importing the G.

Well i am glad to see Infiniti/Nissan is being good about the US/Canada importing because most manufactures(not the dealers) are now resfusing warrenty on US imported cars. I am sure Nissan will not be far behind once the dealers start to complain more.

Can you tell me your experience with getting this form ?
