Just purchased new rotors (Drilled and Slotted) and SS lines and I am looking for a source to get Hawk HPS pads and MOTUL Brake fluid in the GTA (Closer to Brampton the better). I can order it from the US but I don't want to wait to get my new rotors and lines in. Any help would be most appreciated.

FYI I got my Rotors (Premium line) and SS Lines from R1Concepts. Don't flame me but they look pretty good and the price was easy on the pocket book until I can afford a BBK. Thanks again Empz for the PM leading me in the direction of these brake parts.

I'll do a review once I get it all installed so maybe I can help someone else out too. I also read all about the rusting issue on these rotors so maybe I can update on that as well.

Ken

I highly suggest you stay away from HPS.
By far the worse brake pads I've ever used, everyone likes them because they have very minimal dust. But when it comes to braking power, it's complete sh*t.

Go with EBC green/red if you want good braking powers with least dust...

Thanks for the heads up. I had EBC pads (Green) on the Lexus but they didn't last long at all but they were super quiet and very little dust. I will price shop both then I will make my decision. Still need help finding the Hawk pads in the GTA thou..

Thanks. I didn't know that. I definitely don't want less braking power even if it means less dust. I'm after equal or better than OE Brembo without squealing or more noise. If I get less dust that's a bonus.

Probably don't need replacements for a while but want to have them on hand before.

I recently had HPS pads installed on my car and I love them. The braking is a lot better than the stock pads that I had on. XuperXero you are the first person I have heard that had a bad experience with these pads. Did you brake the pads in properly?

2Savvy, I sent you a PM on where I got my brakes done (Derry and 410 area).

Try the HPS under good summer heat. You'll feel the sponginess.

Yes, I followed the bed in procedure and breaking in. It was perfectly fine back in november when I installed it. Decent braking power and such. But after summer heat, it's plain crap...

I can actually push to the floor when stopping.

If you can push to the floor, the problem isn't the pads.

Thanks for the PM and the contact number for Mike. Just spoke to him and he is checking the price out for me. I mentioned your name too so hopefully he takes care of me.

Much appreciated!

Ken

BTW did you get the premium rotors from R1 and have you experienced the rusting issue that has been mentioned??

That's what I thought too. Bleeding it didn't help though. Swapped to HP+, perfect brake feel and no fading.

Your welcome Ken, Mike's a good guy, he'll take care of you.

Actually, I got the E-Line rotors from R1 and I haven't seen any rust develop on them.

Smartidiot I sent you a PM.
