Nikkor 12-24mm f:4;
Manfrotto tripod (can't recall the model number)
I did have my 50mm f1.8 and 105mm f1.8 micro with me, but these displays just cried for the 12-24. It's this sort of shooting that makes me glad that I didn't scrimp on glass. The Nikkor stuff is the way to go, if you can live with the premium over 3rd party stuff.

Personally, I'd just wander over to the entertainment district, get something good and then head to the show and walk it off with the cool night breeze.
