Issues with your G
Thought it would be interesting to see what auto issues my fellow Canucks have been faced with and what has/not been corrected during ownership of your G so far. There have been more than a few items on mine but for some reason I still love my G.
I'll start with the things I can recall for my '04 M6 C:
-incorrect alignment when new (pull to the right)~ corrected TSB
-rear deck rattle ~TSB partially corrected
-rearview mirror buzz ~TSB had to correct myself afterwards
-sunroof rattle ~corrected myself
-cruise control failure~ corrected with new unit
-rear axle click~ TSB corrected
-tire feathering~ no fix 4 alignments in 25k kms
-faulty fuel damper assly~ replaced and corrected knocking sound
-faulty rad cap~ corrected with replacement
-clicking clutch pedal~ corrected with new pin and entire new slave cylinder assly
-dim clock light~TSB replaced bulb - no change
-drivetrain? howling noise for about 1-5kms from left rear when below 10 C~ unable to diagnose
-driver window one touch up memory defective (returns to partly down)~unable to permanently correct; reset about 5-6 times at dealer- I give up!
-seat rocking/noise~ corrected myself
-spare key stopped working~corrected at dealer by resetting all keys

I had zero warranty work done on the G
- I had alignment done right out of the box; SOP for me - car was within spec but not good enough.

- rear deck rattle - ... I think most of you saw the pix on that fix

I always wanted a 2 seater ragtop though & timing was right. (kids gone to school)
Some lucky bastard got a real nice car.

05X
- owned 2 years and driven 50,000 kms
- shutter valve replaced so gas could be filled up under warranty TSB
- CD player jammed, replaced under warranty.
- thats about it no other problems, it performed great.
07X
- still own, 9months, 15,000 kms
- sunroof finisher kept coming off, Dealer glued it on, came partially off so I ripped it off and threw it in the trunk (don't even notice it's off).
- Pitting grille replaced under warranty.
- I-keys to be replaced because of TSB, but they have not given me any problems.
- very pleased with the car.

- chattering driver's side wiper replaced, warranty
- cracked rear spoiler, replaced under warranty after lots of fighting
- fuel sending unit's replaced in tank, warranty
- creaking rear door window trims replaced, warranty
- control arm bushings replaced, creaking, warranty twice
- clutch slipping occasionally, dealer could not duplicate
- ticking/rattling sound both front doors from road vibration or music played loud, dealer can not duplicate
That's my short list, I know there are a few more but I must have erased them from memory.

Issues with mine:
- creaking noise from the backend, especially going up the parkade ramp (compression rods?)
- gremlins in the dash lighting, sometimes goes light/dark
Other than that, the Toyota dealer (!) I bought it from did a good job of fixing it up, getting all the TSB's looked after and such. New tires, new brakes. I was almost disappointed that they didn't leave me anything to work on!
