Switching an American Gauge Cluster with a Canadian

My mom is looking to switch her guage cluster to a Canadian one, or one with KMPH. I was wondering how much this would usually cost and if any of you guys are wanting to get rid of one. She bought the car from the states and it has 3764 miles on it. It's an 07 G35 with automatic transmission. I really don't know what to do, dealerships want close to $1000 to put one in . I see some for sale on ebay but those are for 03-05s. What do you guys suggest?

Thanks, Brendan

Buy a new one from the dealership and put it in yourself its not difficult. The 03-04 cluster will fit but they are a different gauge face style.

Most dealers will not sell one over the counter, or allow one to be purchased without install the miles have to be transferred over. Get a nismo one if they come in auto.

$1000 is a small price to pay for saving a lot more buying a US car. You'll also get most of that back anyhow when you go to sell or trade with proper gauges and dealer/provincial documentation.

Nismo cluster does come in auto for about $600-700 for the cluster not installed.

IMO the OEM cluster in the 07 sedan looks much better than the Nismo and it appears to be similarly priced. As Deane said $1000 is a small price to pay for saving a lot more buying a US car.

BTW I'm not sure everyone in here knew you were talking about the sedan.

Agreed the Nismo is a nice replacment for 03-04 but 05 up have nicer gauges OEM. Pay the $1000 you wont regret it.

I have a 04 6MT, I have searched to get KM Odometer everywhere but have had no luck. Is it possible that an 05-06 Odo is compatible with 04? I know its a different and updated cluster

any links would be helpful
