Mileage for those in Eastern Canada with 07/08 G35 X

This is a rather specific questions directed to those who drive the 07 or 08s and the Sedan and X only. In snowy harsh conditions in Eastern Canada.. i.e Ontario etc LOL anyways...

How many miles do you have and whats your mileage like according to your carputer?

I have about 6000km and seeing about 15 to 20 L / 100KM... which I think is kinda bad.

19.9 mpg (drove it from Michigan, haven't switched to metric yet) on 95% highway driving - converted it's about 11.8 L/100km. Mind you I was being mindful of varying the RPMs so I was slowing down to 90km/h then speeding up to about 140 km/h.

I'm actually pretty happy with the results.

Similar Result

I have similar result. I currently have about 2200 KM, and average about 14 to 16 L / 100Km. Looking at the first post, I through the mileage will be better after the first oil change, but this doesn't seem to be the case. I do 40/60 local/highway driving and rarely floor the car.

Now that I think of it, the mileage is kind of bad. Compared with my previous BMW 300ci (manual tranny), it got about 10L/100KM, which was quiet good.

Hopefully when the weather warms up and the winter gas formula is changed, it gets better mileage.

I live in Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron. I have 21,000 kms on my 07X. My car-puter generally reads out 11.3 to 11.7 l/100km. This is leaving it set for a few fill-ups and with city/highway combined and I would guesstimate 75% highway.
On a straight highway trip I do register much better mileage.
Always use 91 fuel.

hmm you have quite a bit of miles on your car, so hard to gauge if thats the reason, do you remmember what you used to get in the early days?

So you do not re-set the fuel economy thing everytime you fill up gas then...

The first year I kept a written record of my mileage and calculated it myself each time and I also used to reset the monitor at each fill-up. It improved a bit until I hit around 12,000 kms then it steadied out to where it is now. I don't bother anymore, except for a check once in a while, since it seems pretty consistent. The best mileage is during summer months. This winter driving is really hard on your mileage.

Man, you got me tearing my room apart looking for the book I don't use any more. It was the records of every fillup up to around 12,000 kms. I spent a while looking for it but no luck so far.
Anyways if I remember correctly it was around 14 at the worst, but remember the majority of my driving is highway.
I am pleased with my gas mileage for the car.
If I find my data I will let you know. I just found my mileage records for my 05 G35X but I can't find them for my 07. Sorry.

jdanielsg, I did find my mileage for our trip to the East Coast with a few of the other guys from g35driver last summer. The car was around 6 months old and we travelled over 4300kms. The overall fuel mileage was 11.09 L/100km for the trip. This was poking through someplaces and also doing a fair bit of spirited driving at times with the Crew.

I've started keeping a log, just so I know whats what, not that I am particularly bothered but it cannot be to a point where you know something IS wrong with the car. I am only coming up to my 2nd oil change to hopefuly it would improve.
