I can live with that for now.
Sorry to hear the 'fix' didn't work, Sam, but at least you can get it up and stay up.
(can't believe I said that..... )........

Pretty sure the tensioner is incorrect and needs adjusting....

Can't believe it either. LOL. Here's hoping Sam can keep it up.

I have discovered that if I hold the switch in the up position while I'm driving for 5 ish seconds, I actually hear a click the window will stay in the up position. I'm gonna have it fixed when I get my belts done.

dont mean to ask but since windows is the topic anybody here have a cracking/creeking sound when the window goes all the way up.

and

when my DS window is half way down it sounds like its not seated well when I hit a bump or pothole.

whatacar - did you ever manage to figure out what went wrong with your window? I am having the same issue now.

I will try the reset procedure first, but from a bit of research it sounds like I may have a mis-aligned window regulator. Our symptoms however are very similar.

This all started after the 2nd time I cleaned the carbon deposits from my power window motor.

Another issue I am getting is that the window seems to stay stuck all the way down or all the way up, and will stay there unless I open and close the door (providing a vibration to the regulator/motor).

Sorry for bumping an old thread...

I just use the manual switch by lifting it almost to the limit of the switch. It goes up and stays up. I then release the switch.
