Re-aiming the cutoffs basically... My driver side was pointed way up and blinding traffic. I think it was the original reason for the recall.

I referred to the service manual on the site; pretty useful except the section for the interior is removed.
Don't bother removing the tires IMO... You just have to turn the wheels hard left or right depending what side your working on to get the bolts and screws out. I never even took the whole bumper off, just enough to pull it down and rest it on the ground with towels underneath.

Removing the front bumper isn't too hard. I've done it many times at work. turning the wheels helps a lot. Removing 2 clips on each side of the splash shields is very helpful. 2 10mm bolts on the side top for each side. 2 clips on top under the hood in front and a whole bunch of 10mm bolts at the bottom. As for the lights, they do cost an arm and a leg. I dont think 1400 bux though. I know a customer did that swap and I believe it was around 600 each. Don't really remember.

It is sad that 06 projector lights are so weak in compare to other HID on other cars like Acura TSX, TL and Honda S2000.
Even the HID in the Nissan Maxima is probably better than the ones on G35.

I was reading other threads, and people from US can get a pair 06 headlight for about $600 at Infiniti dealer. People changed to 06 headlights in Canada, where did u get your 06 headlights? I know ebay is an option, but i am afraid getting a recall one. Thx.
I also have an 04 coupe. I bought a pair of 06 projector headlight housing from ebay for $220. I followed through the instruction from one of the DIY here (do a search, you will find a bunch). took me half a day to install it. (note: I had never installed anything to a car before. it was that easy)

Good to hear (I guess read); I will keep my eye on ebay for some recalled projectors; haha.
