Question 225/50/17 on a 03' sedan?

Hi all.
Was wondering if anyone has tried putting 225/50/17 tires on a 03/04 Sedan? I've found out that the difference in size from stock 17's is only 1.78%, but would still like to hear if anyone has tried this size?

Is the car dropped?

Stock 5 spoke rims are 17 X 7... 215/55/17 for the 03 sedan OEM rims.

No, the car is completely stock with the 6 spoke 17" rims.
Reason for asking is that I'm looking for some winter tires, and some manufactures do not have the stock size, but they do have the 225/50/17, and I notice the coupes use these on the fronts.

It'll work but may look a little small, if your lowered it will look good.

i'm on 225/50/17, sport wheels. it works great, and many more options to choose from rather than 215/55. others have gone with 235/50. i'll be on z suspension soon, but the 225's look fine on stock setup.

Nissan recommends not going any more that 3% difference is circumferance. That size will be fine.
I'm sure that's the size I had on my '03 Sedan way back when.....

i have 225/50's on (well, had, summer tires) and no probs, would probably look better if you were lowered.
also had 50 in front and 55 in back last winter (snows from a zed), also no prob.
