Everything working fine on BEV (with the exception of PPV) with NFusion DN is working fine on NFusion as well. My Viewsat Ultra is receiving DN only.

i'm assuming bev for bell express vu and dn for dishnetwork. i have no clue what nfusion is.

i've always wondered about these fta boxes. my dad used to have hacked dishnet box. it was a pita to update. he'd be calling me over every 2 weeks to update his card. finally it just stopped working as they upgraded to different cards. i told him he's gonna have to figure all that crap out b/c i got tired of coming over to his home and updating his stuff. he can barely use email on his computer... needless to say that particular receiver is now a paperweight in his a/v cabinet.

NFusion is a brand of FTA receiver that runs IKS and requires an internet connection to function. Virtually 100% uptime.

Tell me about it. My dad was into the whole directv thing and would call me up to do the exact same thing. I was living at school, over 100kms away from home at the time so it was guilt trip city.

Is this box going to last the year or what? I am contemplating buying an hd one, but not if it only lasts till early 2010.

If I had a magical crystal ball I would definitely tell ya. What I can tell you is that IKS based FTA receivers like my NFusion are the only ones able to receive N3 programming right now. To me, that is very promising and I have had zero issues with downtime with mine in the last 1.5 years.

You guys should look into getting the Digital antennas if you have a built in hd tuner. It maybe old school but nothing beats getting 20 -25 free HD channels!!
