New Compression Rod...

I got my driver's side compression rod replaced today and my clunking noise issue is finally gone. I just wanted to start a new thread and give a thumbs up to Sasha and the guys at sg-motorsport.com who did the install. I also got an alignment done, and by the looks of some of the prices guys around this forum have been paying for the same job, I feel like I got a very good deal. If any of you guys in the GTA need work done, I definitely recommend you talk to Sasha.

Normally yes. Usually the driver side goes first.

Thanks for the kind words Aleks!

Our contact info is all on our site, hopefully we can help you guys out!

It's sad that these compression rods are failing so often, but at least the parts aren't ridiculously expensive. For a cast aluminum arm like that they are pretty reasonably priced.

Do you still have to replace the unit?
I thought new bushings were available now, that can be pressed in.

This is a Deja Vu!
I had mine replaced finally a couple of days ago at Markham Infiniti.
They were great to deal with and the rods cost me I think $360 plus install.
I had other stuff done too so I don't know the exact price.
What a difference it makes, it doesn't sound like I am driving a 1989 Caprice taxi cab anymore.
Quiet again
Matt

Hahaha yea, nothing worse than a clunking luxury car that sounds like it is going to lose a wheel, not exactly confidence inspiring, is it?

I haven't seen anywhere of replacement bushings that can be pressed in, but if you have a link please post it!
