Winter Driving Rant in Toronto-Snow Tires

Here is a funny report about the need for Snow Tires in Toronto. I found this on another site I frequent.
<object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fgUosngyAu0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fgUosngyAu0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object>

whew.... with the title, I thought the thread was going to be about the misadventures of Wayne & some no-season shod T-Dotarian.

...funny vid; sad but soooo true.
I saw a bunch of them this week driving into the city.

RMR FTW. FWIW Calgarians seem generally about as bad. I drove the Expedition home from Banff Sunday in 8-10 inches of the white stuff, which got less and less as I approached Calgary, where in comparison the driving was a summer's day. Then I hear about 300 accidents in Calgary that day. Dubya tee eff, people, if you've lived here a calendar year, you know what snow is. Slow down, be more careful, and fercrissakes pony up for snow tires!

have to say, i think the snow tire law is working. most years the news is full of accidents caused by the first snow.

noticed a lot less this year.

now it would just be nice if they cleaned the sidewalks. my gf's dad was one of the several hundred who had to go to hospital due to falling on ice. driving may be a lot safer, but walking isn't.
