Hey big_h!
Are those my wheels?
*grin*

How much does the front wheel weigh?

If those are mine, can you hold off shipping them -- I want to talk to you about throwing some rubber on them first -- THANKS!!!

No worries! I'll put the tires on when they get here.
Here's my short-list:

Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's
Bridgestone S0-3's
Falken FK - 451
Toyo Proxes T1-S

What do you think?

I don't care much about noise, I mainly care about dry and wet traction, handling and tread wear, in that order.
I probably won't go with the Pirelli's because despite awesome traction they wear too fast.

I love the grip of the stock Michelin's but I can't find them in the sizes I need (245/35/19 and 285/35/19 -- or maybe 275/35/19 rear -- still within spec).

Cost-wise, it ain't pretty. Haven't shopped around a lot but looks like the huge rear 285/35 tire would be (in $Canadian) around:

$625 for the Pirelli,
$615 for the Bridgestone,
$500 for the Falken,
$430 for the Toyo Proxes.

I'm leaning towards the S0-3's or the Falken's...

Anyway THANKS AGAIN for the wheels Harry! They look pretty bad@ss eh?
You said I'd get 'em in 10 days and looks like I will.

By the way, for anyone shopping for tires, I found this site which was pretty useful:

Hi Harry,
The fronts can't be heavier... they're 9 and the rears are 10.5.

A guy in the States al503 has these wheels and he told me the fronts are 19 lbs and the rears are 22lbs.
Revhighonline said the same thing...

No worries, I'll weigh them and let you know, but the fronts should be under 20 lbs.

Here's a pic of member wickedik's car with the Racing Hart CP-F Tunes.
As far as I know, there are 2 guys in the US on G35Driver.com with this wheel. I'll be the 3rd G (that I know of).
There's at least 2 Z's that I've seen (but I'm sure there are more).

Re: Anyone in Canada have these? Racing Hart CPFTune

Here's one of the Z's...

The offset is +26 front and +22 rear. Racing Hart designed this wheel specifically for the Z and G... the rear offset was chosen to fit the wheel right to the edge of the fender. The front is optimal also, but it has room for a 5mm spacer if I want to drop it to a +21 offset and move the wheel even further outboard, but I will probably leave it as-is, at least for now. Now that hooking up won't be a problem, my biggest challenge will be to counteract the understeer the fat rears will give me... hello Hotchkis sway bars...

Dang those are awesome rims!

Hope to see them in person at the next meet.

$2k+ on tires alone!?! I guess you'll won't be taking these to the track!
