i know it does but its my daily driver and i go to school downtown toronto so i cant sound louder then firetruck like it did before.
the new system besically its the headers into a ypipe to the turbo then into a 3 inch downpipe to the stock midpipe to the stock muffler.
next spring ill get a nice 3 inch midpipe that y pipes into 2 hks CF mufflers or something that would sounds good.

I ran the stock exhaust and I would get full boost at around 3800rpm, with the 3" I had full boost at about 3100rpm. Huge difference.

I have a Megan racing knock off 3" exhaust from the turbo and I can tell you that it is quieter than stock.

wen i blew my first motor when the turbo was rear mounted it was not tuned properly from ams now im going to TAG racecraft they really seem to get the best out of the car, wen i had the car there with the previous setup the guys there said that with the current state of the car no more then 280whp and 270wtq because of the fuel lines leaning out and any more power and it would blow and he only tuned the car at 7C* degrees where normally it would be tuned at 15-16C* , now that i upgraded them he is saying i should get 350-400whp no problem and get it quicker and less laggy then before. if you want tuning done tag tunes anything from bikes to cars to boats.
i will post my numbers with the new setup soon with the old setup there was a big risk of blowing up so we stopped at 279.8whp 269.1wtq at 9C* very low boost. next run going to be at 15C* between 4.5-7.5psi so 30% increase is expected which ball park at about 360whp.

I would get a second opinion on the lines being your issue, I did 420whp with stock lines and stock injectors running 7psi. red35 runs 480whp with stock lines (he added a return line) and runs 550cc injectors and 10psi of boost. You might have fuel requirement issues but I doubt its the lines.
but on the other hand something might be a bit fishy cuz every time i go there is always something else but now with the lines fixed i see nothing possible going wrong because i have the turbo at the front so no more lag and oil return issues, upgraded the fuel lines with a fuel return line and a regulator and i got the stand alone ecu, got the bigger injectors the rail, new seals and gaskets cleaned up the throttle body and the plenum got new header bolts so no more header leaks the car should make 350-400whp easily with a garrett GT35.

with stock internals??? 420whp is limit and 480whp is way over boosting! i have 640cc injectors and an upgraded fuel rail to fit the injectors. im adding the return lines and something with the fuel regulator that didnt come with my turbo kit. the sts kit really either was missing parts or its a half-assed kit either way iv been unlucky with this turbo kit.

People say typically 400whp is reliable on these cars due to weak rods if you go 20whp over your car won't explode. It just becomes more common to break things when going over 400whp is all it means, as with any car the more you push it the more things can go wrong. Guys have went deep into the 550whp range on stock blocks. 10psi is not over boosting its a typical stock block boost level if you have a tuner that knows what he is doing it makes many things possible.
yup same turbo same pretty much everything its just the different piping. still says sts on most parts lol.
