(same with other gears) so what seems to happen is the car no longer has the "oops thats gonna over-rev me" function?
and also, when comming to a stop, it wount drop back into 1st gear?

hi for the last question it will drop back to 1st gear when u come to stop, dont worry about that.sprintbooster doesnt change that function however people say when u downshift the car it would downshift no matter what ur gear is which never happens w/o sprintbooster. i havent try that in my car but seems like it does eliminate that auto-control-the gear is good for the car- function.

I'm confused as well, there is only one guy saying these things. 1000's of these have been sold for infiniti's alone so I don't know what the problem seems to be for him. But what I think he is saying that iin his car doing 120kph and slaps the tiptronic down and lose count you could end up downshifting into first gear at 100 kph or whatever. I don't think this is anything to do with the spring booster, it shouldn't be because it is just a booster for the throttle and nothing else.

No sense him coming to Hamilton, I don't keep stock at my house.

+1 on that. does not make sense to me. not that im saying its not true, just saying it shouldnt be related with sprintbooster ,something else.

t7n7 have you tried to take off the sprintbooster and try downshifting, maybe its something else.

maybe he is right. i dunno.. i don't wanna talk about this anymore.. its wierd.. unexplained.. doesn't make any sense.. but the end result is... i love the way my car drives...

and yes.. i have taken off the sprintbooster and i wasn't able to downshift.... mind u, the previous owner was a nutjob and did all sorts of things . so who knows lol... maybe he flashed my ecu haha

ya.. for sure.. its a lot louder since you can rev it much higher faster before actually taking off...

I pretty much raped it the past couple of full tanks and i got a decent 430KM average out of it (i think 63 litres or something)... thats pretty good considering i don't drive on the highway much.

I cut the cable, but there is a metal piece on the accelerator assembly that is preventing me from plugging it in because of the black piece of plastic that sticks up from the sprintbooster.

First insert the sprintbooster then plug the pedal wires into the sprintbooster. It will be a lot easier.

It is a bit hard to get to, due to the metal bracket but once you do it the first time, it will get easier

enjoy

Man, I'm interested in one of these. So this thing actually gives you quite a bit of added performance. I'm game. Do you guys have plenum spacers or anything else? I have exhaust, popcharger and thats it for power adders atm.

^ its not more performance but more of a boost to the gas pedal...letting your car stay in a more bettter rpm range

I've done so many it's a piece of cake. It also helps to remove the lower plastic piece under the dashboard so you can see what you are doing
