Its time to get my brakes done and I just want to know of a reputable place to take it to other than the dealer. Thanks in advance for any input.

Do you need rotors turned and everything, or just pads? Pads you can DIY.

I did my brembo's pads in about 30min for both sides. They are THE BEST disk breaks I have ever worked on. So simple.

How do u determine if rotors need turning? What thickness am I allowed so that I can measure to see? Did u do the pads yourself? If so, what pads do u recommend?

From 6MT:

New are 24mm. Minimum 22mm. Not much to play with. You should verify that with someplace like infinitihelp.com or the dealer.

I have some Wagner ThermoQuiets that I have not put on yet, so can't really make a recommendation, Bruce.

I bought some thermo quiet pads and I bought a set of rotors at Autovalue.
I will be taking them to a shop that will install them for me. I will let u know how it goes. When are u going to install your pads, or are yours still good for awhile?

Mine are still good, though I will give them a closer inspection in the next few weeks. Definitely let us know where you took them and how it goes.

I recommend Performance cycle and auto. Mike is a quality guy and doesn't BS. They aren't the cheapest but you get quality backed work and that's rare nowadays.

Personally I would do both my roters and brakes. but I'm a monkey wrench....not literally.

lol

Well pads and rotors are done. No meat left for turning rotors as I suspected.
They were pretty scored. Anyways I took the car to Option Import Auto & Tire on Macleod Tr. Charged me $140 for labour compared to $235 at Hyatt. Pretty happy with the service.

Sounds like a decent deal. Thanks for posting up. How do you like the Wagner TQs?

Can't tell from the small amount of driving I have done so far. They seem to do the job, however.
