Detailing question before I order from Eshine.ca
Hey everyone,
I'm putting together items that I should get from Eshine.ca to bring the horrible condition of my IP paint back from the dead.
Wayne has so graciously offered to "teach" me how to ruin.... I mean fix my swirls and scratches with his porter cable!
I'm going to steal the info from canuck's sticky for ease!
Stuff I have:
Car Soap:Meguiar's Deep Crystal car wash (Canadian Tire Already Have)
Claybar: Mothers Clay Bar System (Canadian Tire Already Have)
Tire Dressing:Black Magic Titanium Wet Tire Spray (Canadian Tire Already Have)
Interior Protectant: Aerospace 303 (Canadian Tire Already Have)
Quick Detailer: Meguiar's Quick detailer (Canadian Tire Already Have)
Stuff I need;
Cutting Pads:
Polish (light cutting):
Polish (medium cutting):
Polish (heavy cutting): Not sure I need this??
Glaze: Not sure I need this
Sealant:
Wax:
Wheel Sealant: Not sure I need this??
Leather Care:
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
And Wayne I'm still planning on combining shipping with you on an order so you may want to think about what your low on.

Quick Detailer: Meguiar's Quick detailer (Canadian Tire Already Have)
Stuff I need;
Cutting Pads: Yellow pad (heavy cutting), orange pad (medium cutting), white pad (light cutting). I would order at least two of each. If you plan on applying your sealant with a PC get a black or blue finishing pad as well.
Polish (light cutting): Menzerna Micro Polish
Polish (medium cutting): Menzerna SIP or IP
Polish (heavy cutting): Not sure I need this?? Menzerna Power Gloss
Glaze: Not sure I need this I wouldn't bother
Sealant: FMJ
Wax: Concours
Wheel Sealant: Not sure I need this?? Poorboys Wheel Sealant or Wheel Wax
Leather Care: Lexol Leather cleaner and conditioner or Zaino Z10
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

the above are all good choices but there are other options out there for you...
a more simplistic list for you might be:
- Meguiars 105 - for cutting and Meguiars 205 for polishing/finishing...
- Pads - yellow, orange, white...2 each - other colours not necessary
- Wax or sealant - pick which one you think you might like...but its not necessary for you to have both...luster and shine of a carnuba vs the longevity of a sealant
- Lexol for the leather - buy the conditioner and the cleaner
- Some really good wash mits, Waffle weave drying towels,
hope this helps

Hmmm, that's interesting, I could of sworn they carried FMJ (or at least they used to). I have yet to use an easier sealant than FMJ. While I haven't personally used it yet, I've heard nothing but fantastic things about Jetseal 109.

Garnet Canucks advice is excellent, he knows his stuff .
Just a couple of notes, which are my personal opinions.
For wheel sealants. I used Wheelwax for 2 years and when I ran out I switched to PoorBoys Wheel Sealant. Although Poorboys buffed off easaier I found Wheelwax definitely kept my wheels cleaner after treatment. I am going back to Wheelwax.
For paint sealant, I will not switch from Zaino, my car is not garaged and it protects my car and beads up even after a long harsh Canadian winter sitting outside. It might not give you the deepest shine but the stuff lasts and is great if you don't want to wax your car once a month.

Zaino Z2/Z5 does have a slight edge over FMJ with regards to durability, I have personally noticed this myself. Where FMJ prevails (IMHO) is in appearance and ease of application. I personally think FMJ looks much better (more "pop" for a lack of better words) as a stand alone sealant than Z2/Z5. And wiping FMJ off is like buffing air, so easy to use. But in the end, everyone has their own preferences so there is really no right or wrong product.
