I had work done at Tristar, and it was definitely sub-standard. I was not surprised when I discovered that Tristar was owned by.....you guessed it, the owners of Ericksen. I have not taken the car back to Ericksen for any work since initially taking it in for what appeared to be gas mileage issues and an inaccurate fuel gauge (for which they did nothing). Unfortunately, I am just a couple of months out of warranty and have developed the rear axle click! Perhaps West-end Nissan will do the work.

since noone put any updates on this i went back to the threa , i think Mr.Shumby has reached to VP of fixed operations at infiniti and he is really trying hard to make it right.

p.s: they did even fix a sensor problem by not charging them as well.

think about how powerful is online groups and persistence !

in regards to a 08 g35x sport

I hate Ericksen Infinti.....in fact im at the point of getting rid of the car altogether and going with something else.

I live over 400km's north of Edmonton...so when I brought by car in on my appointment date, I had a few issues for them to look at at fix.....burnt out orange park light, from headlight not turning, slip light on all the time, bluetooth not working, warped front rotors.

I dropped the car off in the morning at 9am, and went for a few rounds of golf in Spruce Grove.

I get a call that the car is ready. I get to the dealership and they have an "estimate" waiting for me.....they want to charge me about $300 to machine the rotors. Now, ive had the front rotors replaced twice already. Once while on vacation in Oakland, California,.....and once in Richmond BC. (both at infiniti dealerships and under warrenty.

The car currently has 31,000km's on it....and the rotors have been warped since 27,000km.......

On top of that....every other issue the car was in for....wasnt even fixed....on the paper they handed to me...all it said was that the mechanic couldnt duplicate the issue.....wtf is there to duplicate when it comes to a pafrking light burnt out or a headlight stuck in the left position????

This in turn erupted into a huge war of words...to the point where i threatned not to bring back the loaner car...to which point the service manager said he would report it stolen lol....anyways....i go off and find the dealer manager (bobby) who assures me he will get a hold of me. He never called back (its been a few weeks)

as we were leaving....we came across this...i feel bad for the fellow that owns this

WOW... that's a pretty low service bay door.
...something they should be well aware of.

hey Cunard - do you drive that white G sedan? i travel to Ft Mc for work quite a bit, and a G really sticks out up here. i often see a white '08 sport at Albian.

anywho - what a joke, once again. Erickson sounds like a comedy club, not a premium car dealer. you did the right thing by leaning on them. you now need to keep the pressure on. i wouldn't have signed the work order until the repairs were complete. how did they get you out of there?

I agree on both counts. I think as a dealer owner I'd be looking at enlarging that opening.

I just found out on the weekend that Ericksen is the biggest rip-off dealer in Edmonton (and maybe the province). I found out that someone I know paid $5000 OVER MSRP for a 370z base package. I know this because he paid almost $9000 more for his than I paid for my Sport package. (And the Sport package option is only $4500 at MSRP). So, not only did he pay too much, but they ripped him off by charging him MORE for a base model than one with the sport/touring package.

Wuff!

^^ I'd like to see your car. You should come out to the meet on Saturday; see the sticky at the top of the Cdn section for details.

^ will do. you've blown by me a few times on HWY 63, me in my POS rental car (it was a PT cruiser this week). the best part about renting cars is getting back into my G. rentals really make me appreciate how nice it is to have a decent car.

I absolutely agree
I love it when I've been out of town driving POS rentals then come home to the G

Sounds like great fun. But, that's just too far a drive for a few hours. I live 55kms west of Edmonton. Maybe next time if it's a little closer to home.

red35 is coming from Stony Plain. But I hear ya. Maybe someone from Edmonton will organize the next meet (HINT HINT).

Back on topic, that's the problem when a dealership has a good product and NO competition, they get extremely arrogant.
