All lowered G owner, where you brought your car to get alignment done? Now my G is just too low to enter any alignment machine with ramp [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img]

Saridi, I am due for an alignment now that my car has been lowered and the springs have had a chance to settle.
I haven't gotten around to checking places out yet yet but I will this week.

Alan and Ray at KHF Performance (who did some work on my car) told me they could recommend a place too, and I'll either post here or PM you when I find a shop that can do it.

I think the other problem will be that many places use equipment that has max rail lengths for 18" wheels... so we need someone who can do 19"s.

I'm also going to check with Infiniti -- I figure they should be able to do it since the 2005's will have 19" on some of the coupes. But not sure yet...

 

rail length is one problem....but the ramp is another problem for my INGS+1 lip. I actually went to two place that they said they can do 19" on the phone. But once I got there, they realize that my car can't climb up the ramp. [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img]

I was talked to Alan at KHF yesterday (and spotted Sam there[img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]), but I forgot to ask Alan about the alignment place...sigh....[img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

I'm looking for an alignment too, since my Eibachs have settled in.

I've heard that some shops (Alta) are using lazer.
Do you think that means that they no longer need the rails to mount on the wheels?

I've checked few dealership. What I heard from them is they have the laser equipment, but there is a ramp waiting for my G to climb. [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img]

Argh....shoot....I forgot to ask Alan about the alignment today again . But I will see him on Tues and Wed to let my G get some work done....I will let you know when I found out the place [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I ended up doing mine at the dealership's service dept. They did a great job and they already knew the correct specs for camber, toe, castor, etc. for the coupe.

I'm not really sure, since I've heard both. It probably varies from dealer to dealer. I can only say what my own experience was... they didn't say anything about my suspension mods or my 19" rims -- other than compliment the rims

Afterwards, the service tech gave me a photocopy of my before and after specs (I asked him for a copy), and told me that my camber was still slightly out of spec due to the drop. We talked about camber kits and he said he could order me one if I wanted. So my own experience was that the suspension mods were not a problem for them. You could call them first before bringing the car in, to be safe.
