Memory Seats

Hey Guys,

I have the 07 6MT and I just took it to the dealer for the memory seats. They werent working at all (like dead) no lights were coming on or anything but the seats work fine. Apparently the systems arent talking to each other and I need a brand new steering column

Anyway was just wondering, if you programmed the button, do both the steering column and the seats go back to the original position if you press your designated button or is it just the seat?

Thanks for the help.

SG

There is memory on the steering wheel too.

...there is no auto egress position for either seat or steering with the 6MT

I have #2 set for my wife but she's yet to drive it except for the day 1 drive around the block.

I don't use the auto egress. Drives me nuts with the seat going all the way back and wheel way up. If I weighed another 150 pounds and/or was 8" taller I might need that.

Seat slider problem

I have 04 G35 Sedan. Its an A/T model. For some reason, the seat slider doesnt with with the seat memory. For example, when I press memory 1 switch my recliner front lift and rear lift settings adjust normally. However the slider wont move to the desired position. This happens with auto entry/exit system as well. When I take the ignition key out, the seat slides backward giving enough room to exit the car. However, when I place the key in the ignition the seat doesnt slight forward as it should. Does anyone what could be causing this?

Thanks,

PK

our sedan has the auto exit feature....both the wheel and the seat go back but you can set that how you want. My wife likes the feature and she is fairly slim but in the coupe, only 1 is programed - for me.

I use to use the auto exit with my memory seats but got tired of it. Now it stays put.

I love that feature been using since day one. I'm a big guy so it really comes in handy.

I once saw a guy about 6'5" get out of a coupe. I bet he did the seat mod for more headroom lol
