Just turn it off. I generally, thought the UFC was decent, but after watching Shogun trounce Machida, and lose. Because the UFC wants a pile of money on a rematch, or someone made some money in Vegas, just makes me think the UFC thinks we're all stupid, and want to give them money to lie to us, so I'm done with it. I'd rather listen to the sound of one hand clapping than have any more media nonsense mock my intelligence. Just turn it off.Originally Posted by Gd35up

Yeah, no way Machida won that fight, much less by unanimous decision.

i would give all 5 rounds to Rua maybe two rounds could have went either way. It was odd that Goldberg kept saying in the first few rounds that he figured Rua had won and Rogan kept say you never know how the judges see it???? As if he already knew what would happen, it was not even close Rua absolutely dominated landing more strikes, more powerful strikes and he controlled the octagon the entire fight
now they are talking rematch/ratings grab for the UFC

wow just watched the fight. amazing fight, but I don't believe it should of been a unanimous decision for machida.
but crazy fight nonetheless!

I gotta disagree with those who are saying it was a "great fight". Although I disagree with the outcome, it was a horrifically uneventfull fight between two equal fighters not fighting to their best ability. At least thats what is seems to me. I don't think Machida deserved to win that match, but don't think Rua fought good enough to win the belt either. Bad form UFC...

^ yup. poor showing by both fighters, although i wasn't suprised with Machida. that's what he does. Rua pressed the action and had effective kicks. i felt he, more or less, controlled the majority of the fight although at no time did either fighter inflict any real damage. the decision should have gone his way absolutely. he likely would have won if it wasn't a title fight. i guess the judges wanted to see more punishment to award the title, like all of the spectators.
plus i "lost" $20.

You see a good match, I see more 5 min rounds of ground and pound until Carwin is so bloody that they have to take him out of the ring. As much as I'd like to see Lesnar in a real fight matched up against someone big enough and good enough to handle him, I doubt that'll be the case. I guess it would still be entertaining none the less, although I doubt I'd ever call that kind of fight a good match. Good luck to Carwin though!Originally Posted by Gd35up
lesnar vs carwin should be a good fight looking forward to that one. the scary thing is brock is only getting better.
