Anyone get overdue bills from 407? The company is making quite the headlines, altho 26% annual interest is a bit much.


Personally I love the road, and have it auto bill my credit card so I dont forget to pay it.

 

Watch it with those guys. In 2007 they called me to collect an overdue bill. Here's the funny part...they didn't have my info correct. They thought I stilled lived in Goderich, which I haven't for 17 years, and when he mention the date of the overdue bill I quickly pointed out that the 407 was not constructed yet. I haven't heard from them again.

 

nice road... expensive toll. i never use it.

 

I only used it once. I usually avoid it.

 

yessss, ive taken it to uni comple of times and have a 60 doller bill to pay...FAIL

 

Why in the world did Ontario lease it to Aussies is beyond me.

It's my favorite road, nice a wide, cop free at night and smooth as hell.

I just hate paying for it.

Nothing against Aussies or Spaniards, just wish they kept it Canadian for multiple reasons....

 

Alot of people think the same. Apparently they didnt even approach the Ontario Government for funding to build it, just outsourced to the Aussies and Spaniards, when the Ontario Government would have funded it if they had approached them.

Personally I dont mind paying the fee, as its fun to drive on. Tolls keep it well maintained, less traffic during peak hours.

The fact they are going after people after so many years though bugs me... Sure they should pay if they used it, but their plate renewel shouldve have went through the year after they didnt pay, not now all of a sudden!

I've been on a few times. Either using company's electronic pass thingy or in winter when the plates are covered with snow

 

I'm still waiting to see what National car rentals will charge me for using the ETR.

I was on it for about 19km on the way to Niagara, construction on the QEW was causing major delays so I'm sure it was worth it.
