It's a long walk.

Okay, okay, EVERYBODY's welcome. Once it's pretty for-sure maybe I'll give it its own thread.

Actually Gord, I was hoping to come & see you before then, you around Friday night?

Shoot. Thought the 8 was Sunday. I should have some time to crash the party but I know that's one of our busier days. Count me in as a tentative.

^^ Haha, that's great news. I'll call or msg you if I'm coming up. Y'know, since you never read your PMs.

Okay... so back to the whole mod thing and that bug that has its stinger stuck in a place where stingers have no business being...

As you guys know- got the stillen true dual catback exhaust and high flow cats on there... and I only just for the first time heard the sound of it from the outside. Low and behold... RASP!

The one thing I promised myself I would never EVER create so long as I lived... Okay, well there is another but we won't get into that here.

Is there something that I can "mod" in terms of resonators- or a set of high flows with resonators- does that negate the purpose? I'm pretty sure that's where the rasp is originating? Is this rasp tone common with stillen / high-flow? Could it be a leak of some sort? My impression from what I'd heard was that stillen maintains a pretty inspiring tone throughout the upgrade process.

Any thoughts?

Which cats do you have, Eno. i.e. what manufacturer? And are you back in Okotoks now?

They're the stillens... and yeah I'm back in town

So I spy with my little eye something that is ART Pipes from MD. Okay, granted that's an expensive solution to my problem but anyone who knows more about it than I do have an opinion? I just spent the last 30 minutes reading about 23 pages of the commentary in that other forum but don't see any familiar faces.

I'm also looking at those 350z cats... Is ceramic the better way to go?

On an additional note- put on some clear bumped sides... Not going to lie... I think I'm going to get a set of clear flats. LED upgrade is probably in the near future if I can figure out the concept- might make the bumps more impressive.

On a side (and bumper) note- going to check out "Professional Autobody" in the Macleod / Chinook area... apparently they specialize in fiberglass work- anyone ever hear of them?

Got a hydraulic jack and some sections of 2x8... and some jack stands. FINALLY actually got a look at the setup down there. So THAT'S what an exhaust looks like.

Also just took the BC coilovers down to their mushiest setting- Not going to lie... quite an improvement for the driving I do. REALLY like them so far!

Anyone else looking to get some work done in the Calgary area? Anyone GET any work done in the Calgary area and have some recommendations a la Angie's list?

Ian, I was running Catless on my last car and had a nasty amount of rasp until i installed one of these . Completly eliminated the rasp. Quieted it down just a bit. You could have a couple of them installed inline. I got mine for about $90 at Mopac.

Looks good Keith... where does one get one of these actually installed? Keep in mind, I'm a bear of very little brain. Though I do have a jack now and some stands and can get good access- I'm just worried that if it does take some welding or some unorthodox modification that I'll be stuck!

Thanks!

On your dual setup, you'd mos likely need a pair installed in line somewhere. Any exhaust shop should be able to get them in with ease.

I was ready to go the UR HFCs off the 350z but apparently I have to hunt down and kill another guy from Calgary who is going to pick them up tomorrow.

So I'll have to see how that plays out... Any exhaust shop in particular that you know does good work?
