Hey all, I've been MIA for a while. And just lurking at other times. I see I missed a possible Calgary meet. Hopefully I can make the one tentatively scheduled for January.

I need some help with my winters. Posted in the Wheels & Tires section:
https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...s-how-fix.html

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

I have no idea how well they work, but have you tried a bead leak sealer?

Second item on this page: http://www.safetyseal.com/store/chemical.htm

I assume B&L have cleaned up the beads/rims and checked the rims for flaws.

Yes, but nothing looks wrong. B&L did put some bead sealer on it and told me to go for a long drive to get some heat into it. Worked for a while.

If the bead sealer doesnt stop the leak, its probably a bigger problem than the tire bead.

Maybe the rim is bent out of shape? If the shop advised you to buy a new set of fronts, its most likely a problem with the rim itself.

So, do I buy new wheels out of pocket (probably all four, might not find a match) or go back to Hyatt and tell them they gave me defective wheels and ask for replacement?

I'm getting an ulcer just thinking about going back to these guys again.

After reading your Hyatt post over, im just wondering if you got the new 18s they were replacing for you? If you got the new 18s, might as well just go and tell them you need the rim exchanged b/c its defective. If not, probably just hit up the marketplace and get some used rims for the winter.

I had that problem with one rim up front (the 03 sedan 5 spoke) and I just swapped it with a one of the full-sized spares from the junk yard.

IMO it's worth visiting Hyatt. Talk directly to Ken, the Service Mgr, he has dealt pretty straight with me so far.

I'll talk to Ken, but given my last few experiences with that place...

2? 3? 10?

Me: SINK but prefer to spend $$ elsewhere.

But to answer question, my brother has had a major pain keeping the tires sealed on his Pathfinder. New tires, new wheels and no luck. Dunno?
