What kind of block heater on our cars?

Do you guys know which kind came standard from the factory? Does it warm up the oil or coolant?

TIA!

It's a coolant immersion block heater located in a frost plug.

Cool, thanks! That's the one I thought it would be.

On an unrelated note... why can't the heater put a little more heat out in this car!?

That is all that is required. Your engine block is an enormous heat sink. If you wanted more heat you would need to install 2 heaters and your electricity bill would take a big jump.
Years ago on my 440 Cuda I had two block heaters installed, one on each side of the block.

Sorry, I meant when I'm already driving, I find the heater fan not warm enough for me.

As for the block heater; used it first time last night, and the engine/coolant definetly warmed up a lot quicker, so I'm pleased with that!
