G35 Coupe - Passenger side window issue

Hello, I have a 05 G35 coupe and I was wondering if anybody has experienced this before where the passenger side window comes back down a third of the way after putting it up? The window only goes back up by holding the power button in up position.

I ended up taking it to Doner in New Market and they tried resetting the memory by following some sequence on the power buttons, however it didn't fix the problem. They mentioned that the door panel needs to be pulled off and the switch needs to be reset.

Before I endup taking it to the dealerhip, I was wondering it there is anything else that I can try?

Thank you

Jon

This happened to me before the window completely crapped out...

It could be either the window motor or the window regulator, if it happens to be the regulator, feel free to let me know because I have ane extra one.

If you have warranty I would suggest you take it to the dealership.

good luck.

This too happened to me and it only happened on my passenger's side. I have an 06 Coupe. When i tried to roll mine up, it would go up, half way and then come back down. Happened twice. I took it to the dealership twice while it was still under Warranty. I think they replaced the motor. I really hope it doesn't happen again as i am about to be over 60K and Warranty's gone.

Thank you for the info, unfortunately I don't have any more bumper to bumper warranty left on the so it would cost me if I took it to the dealership. I'll drop by Simone in New Market to see how much they will charge for fixing it.

Search for the DIY on how to replace/ clean out the motor as this is a common problem.
This happend to me and I took it to the dealer to diagnose and fix...$800.00 later...
Watch out! you can get a brand new motor for way cheaper and throw it on yourself.

just my $0.02 (as i wait for the other window to inevitibly die too)
