A 6-1 ****-beating of the hapless Oilers with DP scoring one goal and being +2 for the game probably made all the difference.

^ I guess the days of a defenceman being +124 (you know who in 1970) are a thing of the past. In the 7 full seasons he played he averaged +81. God, he was good.

maybe with JS in net now they wont let in the first soft goal every game?? or blow 3 goal leads... really tho you guys are saying how good white and stajan were really the only reason they were so good in points was cuz everyone else with the leafs was playing so bad so they got alot of ice time. i always liked stajan and steen and i always knew we wouldnt keep either (i know steen was traded awhile ago im just saying). white works hard im sure hes going to be good in calcary. but really toronto is perfect for both struggling dion and JS. they cant fail cuz they cant possibly do any worse then this.......

im pissed about boston's draft pick

You guys will like Freddie Sjostrom -- kid has some wheels. He may mature into a very exciting offensive player.

Maybe he's a kid that can keep up with Kessel...

He needs he sure needs someone to help, instead of trying to do it all by himself.

And the other shoe drops...

Jokinen and Prust to NYR for Kotalik and Higgins. I don't know much about either of these guys. I'm not too sad to see Jokinen go, I wanted to like him but he never performed up to expectations. The newcomers did okay last night, you could see they were trying hard but in the end the Flames had the same old problem -- they can't score.

Jokinen was definitely a bust for you guys....

It's going to be weird to see Phaneuf and Gigi in blue & white tonight.

Weird...but entertaining. I've got a feeling Phaneuf's going to put one into the back of the net tonight. I'm surprised Exelby gave up No. 3 for him. Eastern conference is pretty tight right now so maybe Leafs can go on some streak like the Sens are on and pop their way into the playoffs.
