Well..... how about;
Calgary makes the playoffs AND Leafs hold a lottery pick position = You win
Otherwise = me wins.

Loser rocks the other teams logo as an Avi for a month.

That's only bottom five, right?

"Too much advantage your dojo." - Mr. Miyagi

Leafs have an easier schedule from here on out and only have to get by powerhouses like Carolina and NYI.

Aww, screw it, you're on. We're making the playoffs so best you can do is a wash.

Your part is easy for a push... Flames just have to hold position.

Looks like Bob Gainey is done in Montreal.
A class guy, but I can't say I'm surprised by this.

^^ Saw that, too. That market has to be a tough one to work in.

How about whichever team has a better record post-trade wins? No advantage for anyone...better team wins

Anyone see the game tonight? Phaneuf was the 2nd star tonight, not bad for a guy that was doing nothing in Calgary Kadri looks like he's going to fit in well too whenever he can adjust to the NHL level.

^ Kadri held on to the puck way to long and coughed it up in the neutral zone at least 5 times that I saw. He was below average. Last night he was not an NHL'er and certainly not an top 'prospect like' player. This is not to say he won't adjust to the size and speed if he's called up later but for right now he is, understandably, not ready. It didn't help matters that it was the Sharks.
I wonder if the leafs intend to shop him around or just wanted to let him have a game to see how he would do.
I heard guys saying they didn't call up a Marlie because they are hurting for players. I am not really buying that. This is professional sports and when you need a minor leaguer' you call him.
Over-all the leafs played pretty good vs. the Sharks and except for a few bounces the other way, they could have, should have won last night. We've heard this before though.

^I agree, he's definitely not ready.
I don't think he was all that good @ the worlds either.
I'm not sure he has the size to survive in the NHL these days.

I would have no problem if they decided to package him in a deal.

Actually, Sjostrom and Hanson became ill with food poisoning or something along those lines and Marlies were in Abbotsford, BC and it wouldn't have been possible to bring one of them back to Toronto in time for the puck drop. That's the only reason that Kadri was allowed to be called up in this "emergency situation."

I agree with you on it not being his best game and him making errors but the kid has 66 pts (26G, 40A) in 42 games in the OHL and his shootout goals that I have seen him score in the pre-season and with Team Canada were amazing. He's got skill and I wouldn't want to see him be traded out. He wasn't given any major prep time and he basically came on-call a couple of hours before the game. With a little more practicing with the whole team and all, I think he's got potential to be the leading scorer on the Leafs.

There is no question Kadri is an excellent OHL player but that doesn't mean a thing when it comes to the NHL. Look at all the first round draft picks over the past 30 years. You won't even recognize most of the names. Only time will tell.
As a lifetime leafs fan nothing would make me happier than to see him become the next St. Louis, Fluery, Stevie Sullivan or even Tucker but the big difference I see between those guys and Nazem is .

+100, I did not like his play at the WJ's and while I didn't see the game, this sounds like more of the same -- bad decisions and giveaways. Not a fan at all.

He's definitely not ready for the NHL right now, but he didn't really look out of place either from what I saw. He made some good passes, and looks like he has potential. He did have some bad plays like you said, but it's his 1st game so it's kind of hard to hold it against him.

On another note, Canada has their first prelim next Tuesday against Norway. I wonder who's gonna win
