I was on Shell for awhile but what I found is I get this weird fuel smell when I start the car with their gas. With Sunoco it's just the regular fuel smell. Of course, this is more pronounced in the winter. I prefer the regular gas smell

what amazes me... is that pretty much over night... petro now has 4 levels of octane at each pump that only used to handle three. does anyone know how gas stations handle storage of fuel for different types of octane levels? i'd really like to know how they accomplished this so quickly.. without any major changes to the stations... other than the extra button on the machine. i'm pretty sure they didn't add any new tank vessels... so what gives?
Good question.
For this to work. there would have to be multiple tanks for each blend, not just one tank for each.
This may be the reason 94 is only available in certain stations.

They simply replace the former Premium storage with 94 octane and then they blend with this Regular at varying proportions at the pump to get Midgrade and the old Premium octanes...

Lightbulb SUNOCO NO MORE. No MORE 94

Hello,

Where to get gas now?

I dont know if you guys have noticed but the sunoco gas stations are all being transformed to HUSKY or PETRO CANADA. Around brampton and mississauga.

Most likely everywhere soon. I believe they had a merger. Sunoco and Petro merged.

But I dont think there will be 94 octane gas anymore.

Sorry if this had been posted i tried to search.,

Been using Shell 91 for a few years now and seems to be good. There was lots of discussion on What gas to use, Sunoco 94 vs. Shell 91. Don't remember what persuaded me ......

The only thing I use in the Z4M is Shell V Power.
It's the only premium gas w/o ethanol.

All the old Sunoco's will still have 94 and they are adding 94 to most petro Canada's. Suncor bought Petro Canada and wanted to keep the branding... Hope that helps you, when I found this out someone had already posted something about it here...
