Yeah good times indeed: when I lived in Oakville, (60's) we used to cruise the Lakeshore all the way to Yonge street and back for fun on a Friday night and only about $2 in gas even with the occasional burnout.
How times have changed.
CTC's booster is about $10 and good for 50 liters to up it a couple notches, so not that expensive.
Let us know how that goes, Sam.

Well H&R called me today and the 09 FX35 springs are not expected for another 8 weeks at least, they are still in R&D, sheesh, this is crazy. It's a good thing I'm planning on keep the FX more than 2 years.

I read somewhere that points will be converted on a 2:1 basis, if this is correct that means every 2 performance points counts for 1 Petro points.

Don't take that to the bank though.

For those still keeping count - the one at Eglinton & Tomken is still there. Was there last week to fill up on Ultra 94. Not sure if the one at Hurontario and Bristol Rd is still there, but since it's a Rabba's (and so is the Eglinton one) I'm hoping it still is. There's also one hidden behind the CIBC at Dixie and Matheson (across from Stage West).

I believed the same too about the fuel being held in storage tanks as a base fuel (not in different blended tanks) and then the pumps blending to make the middle grade fuels. But I could be wrong...

Mid-grades are definately a blend of the lowest and highest octane the station has in two separate storage tanks.
How do I know this for sure you ask? Let me tell you a little storey.
Back in 98 I owned a nice new Mazda 626 LXv6. A nice everyday car. I filled up at the local service centre with 89 or 91proof (can't recall exactly)... or so I thought. I left the station and by the time I got into the parking lot at work, 1.5km, the car would not run at all.
It was towed to the Mazda dealer and about an hour later I got a call and you can imagine my shock when the service manager told me I had a tank full of Diesel fuel.
I immediately ran to the gas station, got no help or sympathy from the attendant (I was not surprised). I got the phone number and called the station owner/manger and he came right away. While I was waiting, two more car owners (one a Lexus) had arrived for the same reason.
To make a long story short, the Fuel Tanker driver had filled one of the two underground gasoline tanks with with....you guessed it... DIESEL!
The gas station paid for all repairs to a dozen cars.

What are you going to do with the fx after 3-4 years? Not a keeper? From the last time I saw it, looked great, u had the protector on it, and your still putting more $$$ into it. Plus it's loaded!!

Please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Ethanol bad for our engines? I used to always pump sunoco 94 but then I realized they have 10% or 15% ethanol mixed in. I switched to SHELL ever since.

I don't think sunoco is the real deal.. Ppl down south have it real nice though. I went on a roadtrip 2 weeks ago and came across some stations in the US offering 96-97!!!!

I've been sticking to V-power with the M-Coupe because of the eth.
IIRC, ALL gas outlets will be mandated to use eth. after September including V-Power.

The Sunoco by my work at Allen & Lawrence has just been converted to a Husky gas station. I don't think I've ever seen a Husky gas station, new to me.
