Zup with some Petrocan carrying Sunoco 94??
I was surprised yesterday to see Sunoco 94 available at a Petrocan station yesterday.
(Bathurst & Elgin Mills)
I didn't know that they had merged.
looks like the Sunoco stations will be changed to petrocans.

This is due to the PetroCan/Suncor merger. From what I have heard all Sunoco stations will either be rebranded to Petro Canada or closed. They are determining which stations will get the Ultra94 but nothing so far has been finalized from what I know.

Looks like Husky is buying most of the redundant Sunoco locations.
Suncor Energy is pleased to have reached an agreement with Husky Energy, where they will ultimately acquire 98 of the 104 sites we are required to sell.
not sure if it was much of a merger... suncor bought out petro, probably to grab their assets. they're keeping the petro name due to brand recognition in canada.
what amazes me... is that pretty much over night... petro now has 4 levels of octane at each pump that only used to handle three. does anyone know how gas stations handle storage of fuel for different types of octane levels? i'd really like to know how they accomplished this so quickly.. without any major changes to the stations... other than the extra button on the machine. i'm pretty sure they didn't add any new tank vessels... so what gives?

The nice thing with V Power is no Ethanol.
....I assume Shell fixed their sulphur problem?

They started converting the Sunoco to a Petro near my place just a couple days ago. I was like, WTF thats the only good gas near me. The Shell is another 7 blocks but looks like that's where I'm going now.
UNLESS...they still have Sunoco gas, post conversion...any one know? Somehow I doubt it.

No sunoco's out in AB, no 94 octane either. shell V-power seems to work the best but ESSO's premium isn't bad either. Unlike Petro Canada and Shell, Esso doesn't put detergents or additives in the gas. Seems like I get better highway mileage with Esso than any other gas.
Petro-Canada will be the retail arm of Suncor Energy, hence all the sunoco stations are being changed or closed.
