Let's see how this one turns out and whether, like Gord, I get sick of it after hours and hours or sanding, LOL! If I end up picking up the proper tools this week, it'll be a bit easier.

For a price i can will do just about anything, JUST ABOUT anything before that ends up in someones sig. Any way i was planning on polishing another one up when swivel gives me his core back and when its done I would be willing to swap it out with another for a core. Unless Swivel wants to start polishing then he can. I just need a core back at some point in case i go back to stock, i am thinking of selling the car so the stocker might go back on

it might happen, I will have to see but i am not sure I love it any more. i was thinking of starting over on a new project one that is not as highly modified as this one. I have had an eye for older imports latley

But hopefully I'll have her all shiny by the Alberta G/Z meet -- whenever that is.

Okay, I think this thing is now firmly in the "good enough for the girls *I* go out with" category. I haven't done all the detail like SxExCx does, but it'll be a big improvement. Maybe I'll put it on tomorrow.

Current (not great) photo:

Looks good.

I bought a used upper plenum recently, and will do something like that with it.

I will look in to chroming it first though. Once chromed it is zero maintenance. When I build the motor I will do the same with the front timing cover, and a few other things.

Fixed a couple niggling flaws this morning, and there are still more but I figured if I didn't hurry up and put this thing on, I'd fiddle with it until there was no material left. So I'm calling it done.

The old one getting ready to come out:

As Eno mentioned to me when he was here the other day, you almost wonder how the one on the left could end up looking like the one on the right:

In its rightful place. I knew it would make everything else look like crap, LOL!

All buttoned up. Looks just about like I hoped it would.

Definitely pops, even from a distance (and especially on a dirty car, haha!)

I am not at all a fan of chrome but polished metal it is a thing of beauty, maybe its the time and effort I can appreciate Any way it is usually hard to find a shop that will chrome aluminum due to its high rate of flaking off alum, but there are a few that will do it I only know because i used to be a mustang guy that thought chrome was cool .

It looks good Wayne, i was actually just wondering about it this morning!!
