Compression rods changed - man...what a difference
So I have been suspecting that my compression rods were bad for the past little while. Ever since I lowered my car with the PSS10 kit, I noticed an occasional knocking which I assumed was one of the rods but in the back of my mind I wasn't entirely sure it wasn't one of the new shocks which may have been defective. When I had the car up on stands I looked at the top of the CR bushings and both were ripped. Got new ones from Riverside Infiniti for about 160 a side and VOILA car drives like brand new.
Should have done it long ago. I tried to DIY it but failed. The bushings were totally siezed and no force I could impart on them would remove them from the siezed bolt. I broke down, bent over, took my medicine and went to the dealer. They charged me $366 tax-in to remove them and re-install the new ones I purchased.

changed mine last year, hope they last....
should've got them changed at APH, they do them all the time and are familiar with our cars, probably would've been half the price for labor

Actually I have them here. The dealer pretty much beat the crap out of them trying to get them off. I'm going to try to clean them up and practice press fitting new bushings into them.
If you want them, make an offer

Yep - I put my own projectors in with a lot of help from another member here on the boards. I did up a pretty extensive DIY so if you do go for it, there is good documentation. It isn't for the faint of heart though as there is a lot of wire cutting, splicing and soldering. In the end, if you are comfortable after you read my DIY, then go for it.
