whats there to do in toronto end of july?

My mother was asking me if i was interested in driving there for a week last week of july. I haven't been there in about 10 years to see my grandparents. I might be taking my GF with so i would like to know what is there to do and see in that area... We dont know anyone near our ages there (24) so that kinda sucks.

Last time i remember i was there we took a trolly and we was at the university of Toronto in 10-20 minutes to give you an exact idea of where i'll be at.

July 23-29 is when i'll be there, its only about a 10-13 hour drive for me from chicago in G35.

Bring money, always something to do in T.O. in July, just bring money. If you go to a Toronto Events web site, it will give you better idea.

Tons of things to do & see, but I can't think of any special events around that time.

We could aranage a meet for sure though.

BTW, Chi-town to T-Dot is doable in a lot less than 10hrs

That should tell you everything you need to know. Off the top of my head: Visit the CN tower, take a walk through ritzy Yorkville, catch a baseball game, head up to Pacific mall for a unique shopping experience, check out Wonderland. There's lots more as well.

I know... i used to do Chi to Detroit back and fourth roughly 300 miles in roughly 3.5-4 hours. But my mother and other people are with me.. so i might enjoy the ride instead.

i've been to Pacific mall and loved it when i was like 13. I remember it dim sum every day and random stuff to do there. Never paid asking price for anything with the chinese to chinese connection.

There like a weekly meet you T-Dot people do... I'm most likely not going to drive my G slammed on coils there tho...

Depends on what your into.

Caribana is just winding down.

Don't bother brining coin to shop - we're lagging like 6 months behind the states. Not to mention the dollar is almost par.

Blue jays are playing some home games. So if your into expensive beers and sitting in a out dated dome, then that masy be something to do.

If your into drinking at a bar, there are tons of options (google 'esplanade', 'king west', 'queen west', 'college'),

If your into lounges, go either King West or Yorkville. If I were you I'd stay away from the 'entertainment district' - richmond and peter area. It's a bunch of clubs and lounges that used to be cool 10 years, but not anymore. Now the area is peddling 100$ bottles and 3$ drinks.

I think $200 is on par in terms of bottle service.

I'm not into baseball at all, wish it was basketball season would of love to see the raptors play.

I like lounges or places just relax and chill. I dont drink beer, just hennessy and remy.

Not driving the car in slammed trim because too many things to worry about.. Might just run stock wheels too. roads are roads in the end but i want to enjoy the drive.

I plan on being there 4-6 days. 2-4 days with family and 2-3 nights walking around getting lost not exactly get pissed drunk.

You guys have any local members doing stuff on our cars? Like how they have the SEC guy in cali doing grounding kits and engine bay work. Any local roof overlay or get something done that would normally be an issue with shipping and such?

oh any GOOD GOOD places to eat something new or custom at about $50 a plate/person or less. I'm chinese so i know dim sum will be every morning with the grandparents but i figure try something new at night.

I enjoyed visiting Casa Loma while we were out there -- historical castle-type place, Canada's Wonderland, Royal Ontario Museum, and took in a Jays' game or three.
