For people who bought pre-owned in the GTA: where did you buy your G35?
I got mine from Vision Fine Car's on 400 and Steels (I think). The car was cheap, but they were horrible with customer service.
But since I'm a little more mechanically inclined than the average person, I was able to spot some defects that were fixed after much hassle.

I got mine in September last year from Dixie - 401 Infiniti. I had to play hardball with the price but I think I got a decent deal. About $1000 more than I wanted to pay. I've put 12,000 km on the car since and no real problems - just rear brakes and it seems like my alignment may be going (or it could just be the crumby RSA tires which have little life on them - not sure). Right after I paid for the car and had it off the lot I noticed a crack in the rear taillight (backup light portion) and they fixed it no questions asked. I also had them do some paint work on the bumper to repair some scratches as part of the deal and pull a couple minor door dings. Seems the bodyshop they used is not the best as the paint on the bumper crazed and it needed to go in again to be repainted - no issues though from the dealer and they paid for a rental while the work was being done (a KIA Forte - drove like crap). The dealer also did a complete service on the car before handing it off. One thing was the cargo nets were missing and I never got new ones which one of the sales people promised. Overall though very happy with the car, it was a service loaner and had 24,000 km on it at the time. I got it for $31,000 plus PST\GST, I think I did OK.
What about Alta Infiniti? Check them out sometimes they got good stuff, Not sure on the prices though.
Personally I got mine used from a private deal a few years back. 35000$ for 25k kms on a g35 coupe 6mt guy was leaving the country.

btw i got mine in 2008 around may from the lexus-toyota dealer, 2003 65k for 21,900 +tax. i dunno seemed reasonable to me that time
well mine is at 89K right now cant believe i have done 24k on it, i think i have paid around (i probably spend around 2k in repairs on it so far and it includes 5-6 oil change, compression rod, rear bushing, battery and filters)
the previous owner was a single professor at uft and seemed careful. well if im gonna sell my g its should be this year cause after this the salvage value goes down faster, however if i sell i have to spend at least 10-15k to actually get a newer and a comparable performance car. thats why im gonna continue keeping my G as long as i can till i have enough to get the new 3 series cheaper

Got mine from a private seller. It's been over a year, and generally speaking I am happy. The car has the valve cover leak which for me isn't a big issue... I'll replace it myself when the time comes; it's a very common problem and I would of had it done under warranty if I got my car 2-3 weeks earlier... sucks but what can you do. Up until now I haven't done anything except regular maintainance.
When I was searching, all the cars at private dealers were sketchy. The only good ones were those at Infiniti/Nissan dealers; I would prefer to buy from them but I would be spending a few grand more and that was an issue for me.
