Think I'll head south for some Tail

Of The Dragon
Looks like we'll be doing some family stuff in Naples at the end of July. I also have in-laws the live in Charlotte. So I start grinning...
Instead of taking a plane and renting a car ......
How bout a road trip, so we can visit your sister in Charlotte. Then down to Naples and on the way up, Washington and NYC.
Sounds good, we'll take the CR-V.
The G'll be more fun.
Honda will be better on gas.
When you do the math they are pretty close.
We'll be close to the Tail of the Dragon on the way. I want to drive it, and not in the HONDA, ok
Don't you want to keep the kms low on the G?
No, what ever gave you that idea?
Fine, we'll take the G

I plan on stopping and spending the night somewhere between here and there. Then hitting the Dragon on the second day on the way to Charlotte. Any suggestions of where to stop, or things to do on the way down? Anyone else interested in the first leg of the trip?

We're going to hit the road mid Aug. destination unknown at this point.

I definitely want to head south again for some Tail one day soon, but not likely this year.
I was thinking about following the Blue ridge parkway most of the way down.

Thanks Gord. Is it fear of a breakdown?

I hope so Deane. Now I've gotta check into some preventative maintenance.
Maybe do an early tranny flush, oil change, pads, check belts, check air so it blows frosty. Any other suggestions.

Sam, that's fantastic. It will be a riot.
K and I were going to head down this year, but due to other problems we had to cancel.

I sent you a bunch of Tail links via PM that I got from Ian.

Let's be perfectly clear here.
Those were Tail of the Dragon links.

Lots of food for thought Wayne. May be a large part of my diet. I committed to loose some weight before the trip.
