Did you leave it in the sun?

My buddy had a tiny chip on his Magnum windshield and on a hot day he left all the windows up, it split the windshield.

Leave your windows down, the heat build up blowing out windows isn't myth.

I haven't used him yet but I trust the guy who gave me the information. I have a couple windshields that need some love.
I'm not sure if I need to change it right away. So far it's curving toward the middle and down. Of course, my luck it'll turn and make a series of diminishing circles right in front of my eyes.

Yeah, sitting facing South on a hot day but that's the spot I'm stuck with. OTOH, you don't build pressure in cars when they heat - the flow-thru ventilation system and the HVAC allow it to equalize.

changed mine recently.... makes a BIG DIFFERENCE ... crystal clear view, wipers take every drop of water off the windshield when it rains.

Sadly my three year old windshield was in nearly immaculate condition prior to the crack. Not sandblasted or pitted. Just one unfortunate impact close to the edge where it's most fragile.

I always use Rain-X too. Makes a huge difference when driving in the rain, you don't need the wipers at all after about 60km/h. All the water just beads and rolls off.
